Well done for having the house and technically not being in debt.Your young with so much ahead of you and have so much going for you already,if you read some of the posts on here you would see so many people who are afraid of each knock on the door and dread the postman coming each day.
You have a job and as others have said go to places where it doesnt cost to meet other people, librarys even local voluntary schemes, even spending an hour there might perk you up a bit,but remember theres a big world out there waiting for you to make your mark so dont be sitting around the house, with the bright nights coming back set yourself a goal of going out even for an hour each night and if nothing else the walk and fresh air will improve your mood, good luck.

Welcome to MSE and a big WELL DONE on buying your first home! I've just bought one too, been in about a month also, and you carry the whole burden yourself and the stress of solicitors / moving - with noone to share it with, so you are bound to feel a bit shell shocked! It is your home though, and if it takes a little while to furnish it, so what, buying everything new at once is not do-able unless you want to end up in debt - have a look at ebay, or freecycle. As for the loneliness thing, have a look at meetup for local social groups, or as someone else said, borrow a dog and get out walking it. You should be really proud of yourself, so don't be down xx

Firt congrats on the new house and lack of debt. Second Have you done an up to date SOA with epenses of new hone in and is there no way you can squeeze a weekly Starbucks out of the money pot? What about painting ? Perfect time of there is no carpet work from the ceiling down and who cares about the drips! Have you looked at th e floor boards could you scrub sand and varnish instead? I did this in my first house out of necessity, which I now rent and those floor boards are still just varnished! people like it, just chuck a rug down and bingo you can update the look of a room instantly. I had white ceiling walls and gloss work varnished floors but updated the curtains and thriws etc to change the olour scheme several times in my habitation when the recyled furniture finalk gave out! What about redecoration to fill the time? Again squeeze that budget but simply doing stuff will break your cycle of yuk.
