Hi,

We are looking for the best deal on a hot air balloon flight for 2 people - midlands area. Does anyone have any ideas?? Thanks a lot.

There are companies all over the country who do this. I think Virgin also has something of a network....but, however you do it, it's not cheap. I looked into this in Norwich as a birthday surprise and the cost came out at £150 per head...enquiries further afield were more expensive. It's also very weather dependent. You have to take your chance that there will be sufficient wind and decent weather conditions on the appointed day or your flight may be postponed until another occasion ( I think this is standard T&cs for all operators).
I'm not trying to put you off just to warn you of what's involved and the likely price.
Red Letter Days have take off points all over the country and quote £199 pp for athree hour flight...but you'll be sharing with others.

I know Ideal World had a virgin offer on today of i think £135 each for a diamond flight. It's usually double that with virgin. the price included a glass of champagne at the end, a bag, dvd, pen, keyring and binicolars and a box of Lindt chocolates each paying person (only with Ideal World though). The voucher lasts for 12 months. 101 flying sites over the country.#
My Dad went with virgin for his 60th birthday (pressie from us ) and it cost £179 just champagne and certificate and that was 7yrs ago so Ideal world have a good deal.
