It means that as they are a big company they have 3 months to change their internal processes to get rid of all the issues - it is accepted such a big company cannot make chnages overnight.
That said, they woudl still be expected to make very quick changes to resolve issues - so no, it doesnt mean they can do whatever they want.
After 3 months they are more likely to be 'done' for breaching their agreement.0 -

I have been trying to sort out a problem for months on a Magical Chain Wine Bottle Holder from Grape Gifts which simple did not appear.
At last I have had a reply from Groupon who have agreed to full credit incl postage and packing plus a £10 credit as a gesture of good will!!
Let's see what happens and fingers crossed.
I had no idea that Groupon had been having problems in supply.
Thanks MSE News.

How did you manage that? I am waiting from 5th Jan, and can not get any response.. I got a response from Groupon telling me it was nothing to do with them, and to contact the company direct, which I have done so many times.
All they do, is have an automatic response which says:We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the poor level of customer service you have experienced with us. We have been overwhelmed by both the number of orders and volume of correspondence, as a small business with limited resources we admit we were under prepared to adequately deal with the many aspects required to provide good customer service.
We also know that many items did not reach customers on time for Christmas, we also understand that customers have not yet received items.
Please follow the link below where you will be given the opportunity to let us know how you would like us to best deal with your individual order. From this we will be best placed to resolve your order fulfilment if chosen.
Please be assured that we will do everything we possibly can to ensure your request is dealt with in a more timely and less frustrating manner.
Please follow the link below.

I think they're offering refunds now...! You should contact them again. My auntie got a refund too for Grape Gifts!
It's quite interesting reading the reviews.. really mixed! I've never had a problem. I've used living social too, and that was pretty good... Although it was a £15 voucher for M&S for £7 or somethingGood deal!

Yes, change of heart now aye..?!
They finally refunded me last week, after chasing AGAIN,but as I had paid grapegifts (AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS) P&P , which they could not give me they gave me a £6.00 goodwill voucher.. I have tried to use this on something else... Will report back if that ever turns up, then I will never use them again, and certainly don't recommend anyone else does either...0 -
Groupon is not bad, their customer service is quiet good IMO, but as meher said, its the stupid retailers who are at fault, not groupon. GON can't check the authenticity of each deal that it advertises (91% off, etc) as it has so many and it just takes the retailers word for it!Living off £450 per month is easy...! If you aren't single! :j0

I have just taken one of their daily deals for a car servicing for £49 instead of £132. However I decided to ring the garage before commiting myself and everything seem to be in order.
Apparently I have to wait until the clock on the deal reaches zero before getting my voucher number.0 -

Well the day arrived and got my Groupon voucher service. Also I decided to get the car MOT at the same time. The garage were brilliant and the car failed only on 2 minor things costing about £23.00. Also I paid in cash and there was an odd £1.58 to pay but they said forget it. I would definately use them again.
So different with my experience with Kwik fit last year when they were just getting me to spend money unnecessarily.0 -
I recently purchased a deal through Groupon to go on a 2 day trip to Barcelona with my girlfriend. Groupon sent through the deal to me at the end of November to go within the next few months so long as the months did not cross over. As there was a time limit to book this deal, ie by the end of November I booked it, after checking the cost of flights and the hotel to go at the start of January, after the New Year. When I got my coupon I phoned the agent who is Jetline Travel to confirm the dates and was told there was only 2 dates left to go on the deal in the middle of January. The dates were on a Monday and we had to fly out of Stanstead at 6.00am in the morning or pay a surplus charge if we wanted to fly from Gatwick at the same time on the same day. I was pressurized into confirming a time and date as I was told all availability will soon be gone so I confirmed and paid the surplus, although I was extremely upset with the whole issue. It was only when I complained to Groupon after being transfered to a Manager after around 30 minutes of stating my case that I was told that I could have received a full refund with in 7 days. When I told him that I was not informed of this by the agent he told me it is written in the terms and conditions on the groupon website. He also told me it was too late to get my money back as I had confirmed the flights and the hotel. He also told me that groupon were not regulated by any ombudsman, so the only way I could complain was to write a formal letter to groupon and the agent separately. When I received my response it was clearly copy and pasted by both parties with a bold heading for each of my complaints. This is quite clearly a complaint procedure they have had to address on many occasions. I have since checked the groupon website and the terms and conditions link is very small at the bottom of the page. I have also checked with easy jet and the hotel 4 in Barcelona to find out how much it would cost to go on the dates they have given us and we have paid at least twice as much to groupon and their agent than we would have paid if we went direct to them. I feel like I have been completely done over as I was new to this coupon experience as there was no way to check the availability with the agent beforehand. It would appear they have different availability than the airline or the hotel so I am not sure what else I could have done. It goes without saying that I have unsubscribed to groupon and I hope someone reads this and does not make the same mistake as I have done.0
