Attachment of earnings

Hi

Quick question, if a creditor applies for an attachment of earnings order and it is rejected by the court, would i still be liable for the £100 fee added to my account for this application, or should it be removed?

Thanks

Apologies for the resurrection of my old thread, however i'm still being 'chased' for this £100 and wondered if anyone could indeed shed any light on my original posting?

Why was it rejected by the court? That might make a difference.

Is this £100 the only amount outstanding now and they are still chasing?

Hi thanks for taking the time to respond.

It was a while ago and i can't remember why it was rejected to be honest, the entire bill has been paid off in one lump sum however i refused to pay the £100 until i could confirm whether they could legally apply this fee.

Personally i do not see why i should pay their costs for an attachment of earnings that the court subsequently rejected!

Not sure of the answer to this one. My thoughts would be as yours though.

Perhaps a quick call to national debtline for their opinion?
