Last night's London Evening Standard - 2 for 1 adult ticket offer (saving £16.50) for Imperial War Museum, Churchill War Rooms. Children aged 15 and under go free. Open daily 9.30-6pm. Offer valid until 30 April. To book, visit iwm.org.uk and enter promo code EHP726. Hthx

For what it is worth, I took DD to Churchill rooms last year - and it was abso - blooming - lutely brilliant.
Depending on your/childrens age you could spend at least a half day, if not the whole day here.
Loads of archive film footage, all the rooms are laid out as they were during the war, different colour phones, Churchill and Lady Churchills bedrooms, kitchen and dining room.
Chart room with maps and pins still in showing the convoys and ships lost etc...
Since it is all underground it would be a fantastic way to spend a wet or miserable day in London, and very very central for all the other touristy sites
