It's going to be one of "those" days today I think.
System woke earlier, produced 100w and is now asleep again awaiting a new dawn - or the second dawn of the day rather.4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North LincsInstalled June 2013 - PVGIS = 3400Sofar ME3000SP Inverter & 5 x Pylontech US2000B Plus & 3 x US2000C Batteries - 19.2kWh0 -
2nd Dawn has been & gone. Now produced 320w prior to inverter shutdown for the second time today and heavy hail storm. It's literally as dark as it was at 7am again!0

Now up to 2.585kW........Just weep!:D

I'm sure Martyn will be along to claim it later :rotfl:2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0

Funnily enough I came on here to post about the fact that I was merrily topping up my hot water tank when I got up to a bright morning. I looked to the south-west*, whence cometh my weather, and saw it black, so I nipped out and sawed a wine carton full of pallet wood for the stove, just in time before the rain. Back inside and had to turn the lights on. A bit of faffing around and upstairs to the PC, and lo and behold, the sky is blue again!
I reckon we should all log-in in the morning and predict our generation for the day: now that would be fun with our British weather!
*PS: more like SSW0 -

Almost certainly, have you ever seen the rain like this?
Going to be an interesting figure tonight, but that's about as good a prediction as I can make.
The system has hit 2.5kW, but also switched off about 5 times so far. Currently generating 1kW+ but 10 mins ago it was zero with sleet/hail* covering everything for the third time today. It's all peaks and troughs, but I suspect not too many kWhs.
Still tomorrow should be much better looks like a Fortunate Sun.
*Not sure which will pass the language police. Is it hail in the summer and sleet in the winter?
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.0 -
Just an update.... black again, but at least I shoved 2.41 kwh to the hot water tank. That looks about it for the day!
oooh, sleet, I think I can justify the fire now!0
