Just a quick note to say that December annual inflation figures just released - CPI +.0.5%, RPI +1.6% - mean that FiT payments will be increased by 1.6% from 1 April 2015.
Whilst this is better than nought as they say, I do wonder how long it will be before the price we pay for energy exceeds the price we are paid to produce it. Still, once the system is paid for then everything is a bonus and hopefully by the time my FIT ends I'll be able to buy a washing machine sized box that produces all the power I want from a pound of chicken !!!!.0 -

For those of us getting 50p odd per kWh, that will be quite some time! I am paying less for energy than I was a year ago and the downward trend is likely to continue for a while, so it's not a relentless move upwards.
Gas prices seem to have dropped (of no use to me!) but I haven't found a better electricity deal than the 1yr fix I signed up to last September (which was more expensive than the previous year). People keep saying the prices are dropping, but where are these deals?!
Anyway, it's dark here now and production has stopped. Not so bad as yesterday at 0.59 O's (2.3 kWh).0 -

I've changed my fix twice in the last four months, both times for a cheaper deal and with the same supplier (Scottish Power).
Electricity prices are regional and they're just not dropping here. The next cheapest deal to the one I signed up for last Sept is still 0.5p / kWh more than current.
Anyway, this isn't the right place...0 -

The BBC breakfast animation forecasts - local and national - between 06:00 & 06:30 showing overnight rain clearing by 08:00 followed by sunshine, but for a rogue squall working through London and the Estuary at lunch time was spot on.
I set out at 07:45 thinking the rain was over and very nearly got drowned on a period of 10 minutes when I got to the end of the road. Then at lunch time the heavens opened again, almost overpowering my gutters.
