0.28 O's yesterday. Average of 0.22 O's for the last week. Despite being really poor output, it's actually exceeded December last year. Hoping to see some sunshine today for the first time in 9 days!

As I suspected, that was my second worst year, only beaten (just) by 20132kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.4

December results.
Disaster / perfect storm*. Very poor month with 28% of target. Huge spread, with 24% for the ESE/SSW and 68% for the WNW.
Generated 48.5kWh (5.56 O's).
Imported 916kWh.
Exported 14kWh.
Total consumption 950kWh.
Gas was ~110kWh. [DHW & oven.]
Consumption reasonable(ish). BEV charging was mostly cheap rate. GCH is still off, and fingers crossed, will remain so.
Worst Dec result by a long way.
Only achieved 81% for the year, smashing the previous worst year 2017 which was 99%.
[*Poor weather impacted generation. Also I'm using A2A units for heating, so not only charging batts from cheap rate, but had to charge extra due to poor gen. My batts are DC side, so the import winds the TGM backwards. So when I use that leccy the meter winds forward, but less due to battery losses. This is only an issue for months with battery charging from the grid, so same again for Jan, but should be a bit lower for Feb, and very small for Mch.
Still have scaffolding up with a large platform around the chimney, which is to the south of my main roof panels. But tbf, most generation was indirect, so only a few panels were really affected. Hopefully it's coming down any day now.
Looks like this Dec is about 350kWh* of leccy higher than usual, but no GCH, so gas about 1,100kWh* lower. Leccy bill actually lower than last year, since almost all import was cheap rate (about 10kWh day rate)]
*My cheap rate leccy is ~7p/kWh whilst gas is ~6p/kWh. So allowing for boiler efficiency, I'd suggest gas and leccy are the same cost for resistive heating, and of course leccy cheaper for all A2A heating thanks to the COP. So looks like I'm replacing roughly 3 units of gas with one unit of leccy.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

63% of PVGIS for December
94.2% of PVGIS for the year. A poor spring, very decent Jun-Aug then below average until the end of the year.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Some end of year results.
Middling year for total generation at 4,346kWh thanks to the PV upgrade in late summer. Target for 2025 ~7,000kWh.
Total leccy consumption 7,390kWh, up from 6,191kWh in 2023. Projecting 7,950kWh for 2025 with all space heating electric, could be ~1,000kWh higher again with electric HW tank.
Gas consumption 4,081kWh, down from 6,270kWh in 2023. [GCH was used in Jan through Apr.] Projecting ~1,150kWh for 2025, or less if we replace the gas combi with a HW tank (leccy heated).Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
