3kW and 0.69 O's today. This week is turning out to be ok for January. I am now at about 67% of PVGIS at 74% of the way through the month. I might make it! A good day for Jan.
2.31 O's
Sadly the Sun did not shown until I decided to go out, so was unable to get the benefit. Of course it also went away when I came home!3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds3 -
Afternoon, new forum user and solar generator here (installed 17th Jan).
I must say, reading these last few posts has already given me substantial generation envy. Took me a while to work back through the posts to understand what "O's" meant - and now I wish I hadn't; ignorance is bliss.
I've got a 4kWp array, split 2.4kWp (S) & 1.8kWp (SE) - located in Solihull.
Generation for the last 5 days has been:
19th - 2.3kWh
20th - 2.2kWh
21st - 2.4 kWh
22nd - 3.1kWh
23rd - 2.7kWh
Numbers well below the average postings shared on here :-(
I do suffer shading from a nearby Oak tree - I already hate it for it's Winter yield of leaves - however, was hoping/told that the PO's would counter this issue. Was I mis-sold?
Obviously, early days here, and sun is low (in respect to clearing the aforementioned tree) but already starting to question my investment (I also bought a 5.8kWh battery). There's only so much the benefit of chipping in to saving the planet will help me sleep at night.

When you say PO's do you mean Panel Optimisers? All of my panels have optimisers and they do help with my shading issue. I don't have a trees nearby that have reached a height that will effect me yet. Main problem for me is the house next down which starts to cast a shadow over the house moving West to East.
The optimiser only prevents the lowest producing panel of a string from bringing down the other panels to the same level. If all of your panels are in shade then all will suffer.
Can you see what each panel is producing? I have 2 panels that are really effected at this time of the year due to my TV Arial. Today my best panel produced 880 Wh and the worst 480Wh
What were you told your optimisers would do?

Yeah - I've got Tigo Optimisers. I basically mentioned that I have tree shading, particularly as the sun drops lower, and was told the optimisers would counter that - "generation is from hours of daylight not direct sunlight"
Not sure I can see what each panel is producing. I have a Solax inverter, so monitoring it on their website (solaxcloud.com) and inverter analysis appears to be broken down by arrays (PV1 & PV2).
