    As quoted in Oscargrouch posts.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

    Thanks
I edited my post (asking if it was generation or export) while you were writing yours because I took another look at the thread title and realized I could probably assume the former (somehow I missed @Oscargrouch posting further up the same page I asked).

Your comment gave me the information and inspiration to figure out how to find the origin of the term.
I've been casually skimming this megathread for a while as I considered getting PV, and until today always assumed an 'O' represented one of those circular pie charts filling up or something, but it's not. Its an 'Oscar', having been coined, as you pointed out, by Oscargrouch, ll the way back on page 276:

The sound of the inverter clicking off above my head tells me we're done for today with 2.1 O's. Quite pleased with that given the cloudy forecast. Even more pleased to be starting the evening with just 1.4kWh of import for the day, including a 90° drum clean cycle on the washing machine.
3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Octopus Flux

    A surprising 2.1

I'm not really monitoring it as closely as I did in summer as the numbers are not as fun to watch  :D
