Part explanation to my poor performance!
My system has a fault.
Error Code 25. Had this fault before at the start of Feb this year. Basically too wet/foggy/misty and water has got into a part of my system. Have to wait for the sun or wind to dry it out. Installer came and looked at the inverter last time by which time the fault had gone so nothing to fix.
I think I know exactly where the problem is and most likely was caused by squirrels nesting under our panels a few years ago. I think one of the cables may have been slightly pulled from a micro inverter under one of the panels.
Solaredge told me which micro inverter was causing the problem. Trouble is that the installers never provided or even made a map to show where each micro inverter was in the system. All I have on my system is a list from top to bottom numbered 1 to 15
On the roof its a row of 7 on top with a row of 8 below. I know for a fact that they have not been installed in a set order more random. Keep meaning to spend sometime on sunny days to cover panels in a set order to work out which panel is which but its always too much like hard work!
Having looked into getting some scaffolding up so I can sort the problem out safely it way too expensive! A mate suggested getting on the roof with a hairdryer and trying to dry out the problem! Have used a hairdryer to help dry my motorbike after washing but I ain't going on the roof!
Hopefully we may gets some sunny days or wind to dry the problem out.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds5
