Quick one as I don't think it's worth me making a thread about this...

As light gets low, does generation suddenly go from say 150w to zero because they drop under the startup voltage of the inverter? And vice versa as the sun's coming up?

Sounds plausible to me, but guess the answer might be found in the Inverter gumpf somewhere!

4.37 O's today, but the week ahead looks decidedly cloudy.

Today was pretty dull and gloomy so I'm quite pleased with the generation numbers.
    8.11kWh, 2.98 O's.

Pretty much. In my case there's a period after dawn (and another, before dusk) where the inverter actually *draws* a few watts of power; it's light enough to wake the inverter up but not light enough for the panels to be productive. The manual says it should start feeding the grid at 15 watts but it seems to need a bit more than that in practice (but still less than 100 watts).
My inverter is relatively old technology and they might have improved!
