5.55 O's today taking us 5.4% ahead of pvgis and a good figure to celebrate three years of energy generation. According to Solar Edge it's saved 7.621 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Today has been pretty consistent with yesterday, 6.19 O'sMy installer's original 2012 paperwork included a prediction of 270kWh for April while PVGIS says 286kWh, and we've blown through both of those with a week to go still.N. 6.6 O`s up here today, a near perfect bell curve on the generation graph. I don`t think I could realistically hope for anymore than that for this time of year.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:3

Now there's any interesting question, the answer to which is.......I haven't a clue!But, until the combined costs of PV array, two air to air heat pumps, a thermal store, an induction hob three heated towel rails and an EV charger are taken into account the best I can offer is....it'll be a few years yet!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Another cloudless day here, 6.5 O's.
Predicting 150% of pvgis for the month.Scott in Fife, 2.9kwp pv SSW facing, 2.7kw Fronius inverter installed Jan 2012 - 14.3kwh Seplos Mason battery storage with Lux ac controller - Renault Zoe 40kwh, Corsa-e 50kwh, Zappi EV charger and Octopus Go4 -
Today looks to have been the best day of the month here. 17.61kWh which is 6.47 O'sTomorrow is forecast to be another good one but after that the cloud and rain is on its way (boo).shavy65 said:How much is that in cold hard cash?!I've got the numbers for my system here, if you're interested.
- Installed and commissioned in January 2012 for £8350 [1];
- 23900kWh generated to date;
- 9000-12000kWh used at home, the remainder exported [2];
- Quarterly FIT payments totalling £12350 received, 16 years more to go.
So yes, it's proved to be green, ethical and moneysaving.[1] According to HL's inflation calculator, this is equivalent to £10477 at current prices. A system of similar kWp rating today would be around £3.5k installed but wouldn't benefit from FIT payments (or you could fit 4kWp in the same roof footprint as efficiencies have improved).[2] Basd on the decrease in my metered consumption. I don't have an export meter but I also don't have any batteries / solar diverter and only got around to wiring up the immersion heater this year as a stop-gap when the CH pump failed.N.
