Hi guys, I wonder if I could get opinions....
My system is 4.48Kwp and on the 6th it was almost the perfect day, mostly uninterrupted sunshine all day, yet I never got more than around 3.6Kw but the next day as you can see I got around 4.3Kw when the sun came out just after 15:00, my assumption is that the trough between 12:30 and 14:30 involved rain but I wasn't in so I don't know. Also on the 6th the generation is significantly lower at around 12:00 (the step up at 13:00 is normal because my neighbour's house is staggered from mine and their roof casts a shadow over the array in the morning).
What I'm wanting to know is why I only got 3.6Kw on the 6th....any ideas?

One thing to remember is that temperature has an affect on generation. The output at 35 °C will be significantly less than 25 °C for example (and it's not the air temperature that matters, it's the panel temperature, which will be quite a bit higher in direct sunlight). That probably doesn't explain your numbers but it is always worth considering.

A good first week of August with a daily average of 5.04 Os, well above PVGIS.

2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

My feeling is that it's pollen which made a fine film of dust which was then washed off when I then got up to around 4.4Kw again....not sure if that's right but it did achieve over 4Kw today again, can't say much about the weather at home today again as I'm not at home though....4.598Os again, so not bad. 🙂
