Hi - quick question. Had my solar PV system since 2010 and pretty pleased so far.Has anyone known of an inverter to fail? Touch wood, mine seems fine (SMA transformerless) but I wonder if anyone else has had to invest in a replacement.1

Yes, as per my signature. I originally had a rather grotty Mastervolt Sunmaster XS2000, installed June 2011, replaced with superior SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF in September 2017, which I got off eBay for £200, installed for £100. P.S. That's two of us with failed Sunmasters.
P.P.S. A rather nice 6.3 Os today 2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.5 -
