    Another 6.8 today. Could do with a bit of rain to clean the panels if I'm going to break the 7 O barrier.

    From my experience it's unlikely to make a difference unless they are seriously filthy. Just had a look at mine and there's no more than the usual thin covering of dust/pollen/whatever.

    It's the birds! I've turned the TV aerial around so that they don't sit above the panels, but they still fly directly over them. A couple of splodges on one panel is enough to drop the voltage across the whole string. It's not a massive amount, but could be the 3% I need to get over the 7 O line.
