This last week of grey has decimated generation, and now only predicting 95% for November, with a mixed bag ahead over the last 4 days.

Still projecting well ahead of best year (2014) and should overtake it in the next fortnight.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
  • 0.67 O yesterday, seems like home must have had more cloud than work as I could see quite a bit of sunshine from my office window.

I'm currently at 67% of November PVGIS, with not much more than 10% of the month to go.

It's generation expressed as a multiple of the kWp generation capacity of the PV system. So I have a 5.2kWp system, if I generated 10.4 kWh in a day that would be 2.0 O

edit : I asked exactly the same question back in March when I had my system installed.

An O is an indication of the efficiency of your system on the day. Divide the day’s out put in kWh by the kWp of your system. So 6 kWh generated by a 4 kW system produces 1.5 Os. Named after Oscar of Oscargrouch fame who I believe came up with the idea.

There are various names for multiple Os such as a Hawaii (5 Os) and a maiden (6 Os). I forget the others as they aren’t much used.

Edit: beaten to it once again.

    Thanks guys.

In that case, ours was a pretty shocking 0.072 here yesterday.
Our figures have been pretty terrible for the past week due to heavy cloud and mist.

Less mist today so double what we got yesterday but still a pathetic 0.14 O's.
