Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

Didn't quite make a Hawaii yesterday with 4.98 Os. This was due to a combination of high temperatures and lack of sunshine - the latter of which caused the UK's temperature record not to be broken, it just wasn't quite as sunny as expected. Still over 12% ahead of July PVGIS.2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0

You should be happy today then.
Maybe you need more panels to run your battery. Other than Mart I am not aware of anyone who has added to their original installation. Do you think this is because it is hard for early adopters to justify buying panels that attract no or very little FIT compared to the ones already on the roof? Psychologically, it is easier for those of us late adopters as we don’t have the baggage of very high FiT rates.
As batteries get cheaper the argument for more panels will get stronger. I am keen to add panels but can’t do anything until my DNO application is sorted out... unless there is a way to add panels and a battery without it infringing the DNO limit - ELS perhaps, but does anyone know if Northern Powergrid accept them? I think there is one designed to work with the Solis inverters I have.
Today's generation has been pathetic, yet it's still hot enough to require A/C. My parsimonious 34kWh of import this month is about to get a drubbing.:(4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North LincsInstalled June 2013 - PVGIS = 3400Sofar ME3000SP Inverter & 5 x Pylontech US2000B Plus & 3 x US2000C Batteries - 19.2kWh0 -
I said "a little less sunshine" not "a total disappearance of sunshine"!

Certainly worse than I was expecting. The next few days aren’t looking to promising either. 1.72 Os.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0 -
Back down to reality; mostly cloudy today with a high of around 24c: Bring back the sun, despite a higher temperature.... 2.24 O's..:(...2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
3.3 O's here today....and some rain!:T16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0

Teetering on the edge of 700kWh's which is nice, and 112% of target. Looking at the forecast, nice sun, then a lot of rain on the last two days, so a month end close at around 110% looks likely.
End of year projection now at 104%.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
