Would one of you kind lady’s or gentlemen be able to answer a question I can’t seem to find a definitive answer for.

We brought a house that had a 4kw solar pv setup already installed. We now own the panels and have been receiving fit payments for them. How long will we likely be receiving these fit payments for?

The panels were commissioned in 2014 and we have a rate of 14.57p I believe.

Hiya, as Oscar says 2034, as the FiT and export payment deal changed from 25yrs to 20yrs from the 1st August 2012. Both will be indexed link for that whole period. Enjoy.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Much better than I was expecting with our best morning to date despite quite a bit of cloud. Afternoon wasn’t very good. As a result the west panels only made 2.69 Os and the normally underperforming east roof made 4.5 Os. Combined effort was 3.52 Os.

2.3 Os. Poor day but no worse than I was expecting. Unfortunately it coincided with having visitors, so grandson awake at 6am meant an early start for the ASHP, my wife then decided we should have central heating on for the first time in, I think, 3 weeks and two cooked meals both of which involved the main oven, not the lower wattage top oven. As I was distracted, the hob, oven, microwave, kettle and two ASHPs all conspired, with a little help, to operate simultaneously.
