Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

Ended Feb with 211kWh and 129% of PVGIS, and 37.8 O's.
Imported 174kWh, exported 116kWh and consumed (in total) 269kWh.
Since adding the small ASHP (A/C unit) it looks like I'm importing about 50kWh more per month, and consuming about 100kWh's more per month (winter months that is).Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Well, Feb ended with a whimper - 0.84O's.
Overall a great month though with 356kWh generated, 124% PVGIS and 56.5O's.
I really want to be monitoring my self-consumption and export now, but with a smart meter installation on the horizon, I can't justify splashing out on an Emon-Pi6.3kW system in Loughborough. 15 JASolar 300w panels on main roof SSE (no shading) with 4.2kW Growatt Inverter. 6 JASolar 300w panels on garage roof WSW (some winter shading) with a 1.65kW Growatt Inverter. Running a Nissan Leaf 24kW and considering battery storage0 -
Best February so far, beating last year by about 0.5 Os. Given that 1 February was virtually zero generation because of the snow, not a bad month in the end. I cam in at 258kWh or 49 Os compared to 255kWh last year.0

Looks like i'll be finishing with 1.9O for 75% of PVGIS today....... but I did max out the 3.68 inverter today for the first time this year. A really bright 10 mins or so just after noon!!!:eek::eek:
Am I worried that I sized/approximated things wrongly? Yep, still am! But nowt I can do now!!17 x 300W panels (5.1kW) on a 3.68kW SolarEdge system in Sunny Sheffield.

Actually there is. Nothing to stop you contacting DNO and asking if your capping can be increased. Probably be a fee for asking and maybe even a "contribution towards local infrastructure" before they'd agree but even so that's not "nowt".
I opted for the slightly cheaper 3.68 inverter (by about £100 compared to the 5.00) because the DNO (northern) also wanted £300 to consider the application which I swerved in the end.
I didn't reckon (calculate) i'd get that £400 back in generation/export and savings over time.
So i'm now bound by the 3.68 limit of the inverter.
My system is 5.1 total, but with 3 panels facing the other way they are cold/shaded by 1pm leaving 14 x 300w, but 4 of them on a flat roof with very low angles.
So now everything is installed i'd need to replace the inverter, which would pointless unless its broken. Even then by how much could I generate above 3.68? three of four hundred watts for a few hours a day? That's why I don't think i'd have got the money back. Remember, i'm at lowly 6.5p combined generation/export..... so hardly raking it in to get £400 back.
I suppose i'll never know. Something to monitor over the years and maybe things could change with regard the inverter/DNO etc.17 x 300W panels (5.1kW) on a 3.68kW SolarEdge system in Sunny Sheffield.
