Well, a lovely sunny start to the year after a miserable December. I suppose I'd better do the annual figure, so here goes. 2012 was my first full calendar year.

    Total generation: 1848.26 kWh, 924.13/kWp.
    PVGIS: 1686
    PVGIS climate: 1875

Best day: 30 April, 12.92 kWh.
Worst day: 14 December, 0.06 kWh.

Of the comparable full months, 2012 vs. 2011:

    Jul: -9.6%
    Aug: +5.4%
    Sep: +12.5%
    Oct: -32.9%
    Nov: +18.1%
    Dec: -18.4%

I submitted my quarterly reading to Scottish Power online last night. I made a bit of a foul-up, which I won't go into, so had to send them an email to clarify. Rather worryingly, the auto-reply contained this at the top:

    * PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR ANY READING SUBMITTED AFTER 10/12/2012 PAYMENT WILL NOT BE RECIEVED (sic) UNTIL THE END OF JANUARY 2013*

If this proves to be true, SP will have gone from being one of the fastest payers to one of the slowest.

Happy sunny new year to all generators!

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

  • Certainly the best day this year 8.85kWh :j Haven't beaten that since last year; 30th Nov = 8.88 kWh..
Now the Gizmo has had a nervous breakdown - perhaps it is the change of year?
It makes the daily total 18 kWh and for most of the day has been displaying yesterday's "dead snake" generation graph rather that today's "bell curve".

Well I got 3.12kWh today, not bad but a little disappointing given that I got 4.12 on 2nd January last year and the sun was pretty much continuous today. I know panels lose a bit of efficiency but that's ridiculous so there must have been other factors.
