Just seen this on another forum, may be of interest.

I am having a problem getting my head round the idea that "solar noon" at Charing Cross is 7 minutes ahead of noon at Greenwich ?

Is it the world or the satellite or my brain cells that are slipping?

    1.54 kWh in the Estuary.

[Interesting effect on Thursday morning as the panels tried to wake up, some of the little PV squares had completely melted their hoarfrost coating, when others were still completely white. Not all cells are the same!. The drunken checker board effect inside individual panels only lasted about 5 minutes. ]

Well done - but in your sig, kWh should read kWp :)

Where did you get all that from?
    90Wh for me:mad:
Scrub and wash the panels off every 6 hrs, right through the night to keep any frost off....:rotfl:
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
  • 1.3kWh yesterday (boo!) but 7.7kWh today (huzzah!) taking us up to 45.2kWh in the first week of the month (55% of the Dec PVGIS CLASSIC estimate). A cracking start to the month, well worth delaying our meter submission for to boost our Q4 FiT payment.
