    Off the top of my head I can tell you that the Grand National winner in 1989 was Little Polvier and it won at 28/1

    I will never forget this as I was told mid Feb 89 from someone in Toby Balding's yard to put £20 on it when it was 100/1

    My wife said we could not afford it! :mad:

    Memory Lane: I can remember getting a tip when I worked as C/M @ West Essex G.C. in the 70's. Put a week's wages on 'Findon Lad' (following a 'hot' tip) running at Newmarket. Following a Stewards enquiry before the start; think it is still running: Never put a bet on since...:rotfl:..:mad:
