    On a happier note, I bought an energy monitor from Maplins yesterday. Tried it out on a few items, and seems to be pretty accurate for watts.

    Plugged it in yesterday (at 8pm) to the freezer, and it seems interesting. About 91W when running, with a start up spike of 2,300Ws. But I'm a little sceptical about the kWhs, which at 22hrs in are 0.4kWh.

    Does that sound right? Seems a bit low to me. However, crucially, only opened once today (briefly) and it is in the pantry which is about 11C. Any thoughts?
    Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
