There wasn't really a cloud here either but some haze after lunch left a dent in the curve.

2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

  • 2.71 Os for me yesterday and a total for the month so far of 167kwh.
  • 2.4 O's for me yesterday and crept past the monthly target of 128KWH.

I hit my annual target at the end of October so for my first full Calendar year I'm happy.

Panels have been on for 18 months and am ahead of target to recoup my outlay
  • Hi,
I have been out for a while due to other commitments.
Firstly I had my first year anniversary at the end of last month.

Total generated was 3448 kWh which was just over 96% of PVGIS.
Best month (in% terms) was Feb at 121%, worst was Nov at 62%
Best month (in kWh) was Jul at 465 kWh. Worst was Dec at 72.3 kWh.
I only had 3 months in which I beat target. With 5 in which had had > 90% and
three of those I was only out by < 1 %
Best day was 4 May at 6.19 O's (only had the two days with 6 O's +)

Due to being busy I forget to check the diverted amount, but am estimating that at 1450 to the immersion for hot water.

The above is with some shading till around 11am during the summary. If I had to estimate what I lost
due to shading I would say around 150kWh (this is a guesstimate based on generation also from others on very good days).

Not disappointed overall with the total generation, although during the Summer I was expecting that I would be seeing higher generation but I never really went over 3.2kW (on a 4kW system), so am a bit jealous of those that have managed to go higher. Was not expecting to see over 3.2kW over a sustained amount of time but was hoping for 30 mins/1 hour on a good day.
If I remember correctly I did have a constant 3.2kW over a 3 hour period in early May
Also the installer estimate was higher then PVGIS (so only 91% compared to the installer estimate)
but I was expecting below installer estimate (did not know about PVGIS when I bought only later that later on this board).

Will see what the next year brings.

November was worst last year and it has been a good start this November as I have already
made target yesterday (2.43 O's yesterday).

3.99KW SunEdison (14 * 285W), Solis inverter, iBoost, Herts, roughly SW facing
