I`ve now realised I need to change my Elec+Gas provider.

Just to doubly confirm - I can change my utilities provider BUT leave my FiT payments from SSE? At the moment all 3 are SSE.

I really don`t want to go changing that! Especially as SSE have finally, after about 2 years, managed to start paying out in an acceptable time period.

    Cheers

Hi, I've subscribed to this thread. I bought a house which has solar panels that were installed by the previous owner. The system is 3.92KW/h, and was installed in 2011 so it's on one of the oldest feed-in tariffs. I've signed a FIT agreement with SSE, and I'll start posting updates once they've finally completed the transfer.

Yes, the two contracts are completely separate.

I was with Scottish Power when I installed SPs so had to use them for FITs but have changed suppliers a couple of times since then although FITs remain with ScotsPower.

My two systems will have paid for themselves after the next FIT payment. Not bad for just over 4.5 years.

Logged into my inverter for the first time in ages on an up/down day and saw wha i think is the highest reading i've seen......

I was looking to change mine from Good Energy to someone that pays very quickly. Rang the big 6 and all said, as I was already receiving a FIT payment I would have to change my Gas & Electricty to them and then I could change my FIT to them. As I am on a very good deal with my Gas & Electricity have decided to stay with a slow paying Good Energy. No hurry for the money anyway as it goes back into savings where the money came from to pay for the system.
