So March is shaping up to be another poor month. If so, that will be 4 out of 5 months well below target since install.:mad::mad:

I assume you're referring to PVGIS ? That's really not a 'target' - it's just what one might expect your system to have averaged over the last 30 years.

Five months is really far too soon to start panicking but if your output is consistently below expected levels in the longer term then you've probably got some shading issues. Hopefully their effect will drop off as Sun 'rises higher in sky' during the summer - in which case there's no real need to worry anyway as Nov-March are never likely to produce huge outputs.

It's really very easy to check up on shading issues - just stand outdoors and look at roof : if you can see shadows falling on panels you have problems. If the cause of the shadow(s) is/are your own trees, chimney, TV aerial, etc then you may be able to do something about it. If cause is external you're probably stuck with it.

Another year older, slighlty better results, if it keeps up like this I may be able to retire!!

    PVGIS Target was 3417kWh
    14/15 3434 = 100.4%
    15/16 3684 = 107.8%
Pleased with this years results as still beat target and improved on last years result, even after the awful winter months that knocked most of us.

    Heres a pretty xls pic...

    15_16_Year_result.jpg

Best day was June 4, 2015 with 6.833 ho's (27 something kWh), still my best day evar!
    Worst day was 3/1/16, with 0.173kWh, or 0.04 ho's.

Looking at the forecast, I think March may struggle for the whole month, but you never know!!
4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.

Hiya TBL, and apologies in advance with a pedancy warning, but, I note you missed the early Mch target, but smashed the late Mch target (I appreciate they are different years.)

Taking the early target and dividing by 21, then multiplying by 10, I see you've split the target simply on a day basis (told you this was seriously pedantic), but Mch is a serious 'grower' month, I can see it's about twice your Feb target, so average expected gen rises rapidly through the month.

Therefore, you've made it hard for the 21 day target to be reached, but easy for the 10 day target.

You probably (and rightly) think I'm nuts, but just thought it worth saying as your spreadsheet is so pretty, and contains +/- results, so maybe worth considering.

In my case, my Mch 'targets' start at 8kWh and end at 13kWh per day. They are logically fudged, but not necessarily correct.

    I shall shut up now.
