    SolarEdge+pvoutput+wunderground=happy campers!

You'll need the solaredge API - you can ask your installer but mine and others I know of got the wrong api info!

Best bet is to email solaredge support (support@solaredge.com), supplying the serial number (available on the box the inverter came in, on the display panel, on the manuals) and your name and the installer details, and ask them to provide the correct API for feeding to pvoutput.

Create an account at weatherunderground if you want the weather data in your pvoutput page. Choose the stratus free account, check settings and make a note of the wunderground API key.

PVoutput settings are simple, once you get your head round it!

It was actually 2 of the forum members here who got solaredge and pvoutput talking to each other (jimmyboy420 and Aging Stick Insect).

Loads more info if you search the forum for the necessary terms, solaredge pvoutput

If you need any help, pm me, as some folk moan when I help people publicly ;)

OK - Have a weatherunderground api and a pvoutput account but not yet got the solar edge api.

Next question - where do I put weatherunderground api to make it do something on pvoutput? I guess same question with solaredge api when I get it?

    Thanks

    Impressive numbers michaels!

Just under 10 ho's to date, giving 18% of monthly.

However, the forecast, based on performance so far this month, is a tasty 140% of PVGIS target ;)

I'll keep it short lest others moan, you can plug the wu and SolarEdge API info into the settings screen.

Click settings at top right of pvoutput.org page, then scroll to the bottom, click edit system (assuming you have created your system?!) and then fill in the boxes as indicated in pic below...

Use the link 'Find Station' against Weather Station box, to find your nearest weather station that uploads live data.

Although you won't get any weather data unless you load data during the day - pvoutput won't display weather data on it's own, it must have data from another source in order for it to pull the data.

3.44 O's yesterday, quite sunny in the afternoon.Today has started off dull and wet, so I suspect the only thing of note will be the panels are getting washed.!

On another note, thanks to the helpful advice between "theboylard" and "michaels" I have set up pvoutput to update my system automatically, inc the weather.

    Hi All

new to this game and no idea what O's are. Had 4kw system fitted on 29/9 and had some nice days until today. figures so far:

    30/9 = 23.43 kwh
    1/10 = 20.67 kwh
    2/10 = 19.38 kwh
    3/10 = 14.72 kwh
    4/10 = 14.19 kwh

These look ok to me but happy to be advised otherwise. Saw it seem to max out at 3.7kw on the 30/9. Presume that is because the inverter is 'throttled' / inefficient and I won't see higher in the summer - just longer periods of it being maxed out?

    16 Panel (250W JASolar) 4kWp, facing 170 degrees, 40 degree slope, Solis Inverter. Installed 29/9/2015 - £4700 (Norfolk Solar Together Scheme); 9.6kWh US2000C Pylontech batteries + Solis Inverter installed 12/4/2022 Year target (PVGIS-CMSAF) = 3880kWh - Installer estimate 3452 kWh:Average over 6 years = 4400 :j

Hiya, looking good! Yep, 3.7kW sounds suspiciously close to 3.68kW, so probably capping kicking in.

Don't expect higher figures in the summer, on hot still days the panels will get hot and performance will drop by 10 to 30%, but those long summer day generations are very nice.

Keep an eye out for sunny October (and April) days, with clear skies and cold winds, that's when you'll see the 3.7's.

BTW O's are just a fun thing and slang for kWh/kWp. Just divide your generation by panel size (not inverter cap), and Bob's your uncle, eg 12kWh / 4kWp system = 3kWh/kWp or 3 O's, or even 3 TyphOOO's ....... yes it gets sillier!
