Surprisingly managed 3.3 Os on my SSW according to solaredge, quite a turnaround from the rainy morning I guess most of us encountered
Your not wrong there Tunnel; terrible day.........Only managed 4.04 O's disaster........
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -

Ah, that's better. Sunshine!
I can crack on with the laundry now - especially as the rainwater tanks are full to capacity too!
I try not to do laundry when there is no Sun as far as is practical for obvious reasons.0 -

Ditto, washer went on at 8am,currently have washer and dryer on and we are exporting.......wish I had an immersion tank:o2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -
This might be (probably is) a stupid question but is there any way I can tell when I have a full tank of hot water? My red LED on my immersion switch (fused spur) glows brighter the more electricity I`m diverting, with it obviously being out during cloudy/dark times! I thought I`d see the LED glowing bright red (during high generation/low usage times) and then dull off, or even switch off, as the hot water tank reached it`s setpoint. Anyone know?
At the moment the light never seems to go totally out during higher generation times.
Cheers.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -

Thanks for the reply Dave. I might look into this. It makes no difference really except appeases my curiousity! Only down side of that is that my tank is in the basement.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0
