I have never had a washer/dryer machine before so really can't offer advice, but might I suggest you take a look at https://www.washerhelp.co.uk. I can't recommend this amazingly knowledgable guy enough and all for free. Take the time to read his site, (there is a forum page) and I'm sure you will be impressed.
