The local council here lets us pay on either the 1st or the 15th if you pay by DD.It would be nice to move it away from the first of the month0 -

Mine went down by £1 last year - and a further £1 this year.
At which rate we'll be CT free - in another 2000 years! If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Why does everyone know theirs but me?!.0

My local council put a list of this years coming council tax in the local paper that came out Thursday 8th March. My council tax bill turned up on Monday 12th March.
They seem to set it around the 5th March going by previous years when they have posted details of the new amounts on their website. I though all councils set it at the beginning of March each year? Well the two councils I have ever paid to seem to set it then.
Thankfully it has stayed the same as last years. If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me

Ours came at least 2 weeks ago, same amount as last year, water charges are the same too.
We pay on the 28th, starting April.0 -

Like CIS, I work in Council Tax. Our bills seem to have landed this week. councils are only required to give 14 days notice as said above of an instalment becoming due, therefore if your instalment is due on 15 April you might not receive it for a few more days.
Rochdale_Guy, best thing to do is ring them and ask when it was sent, remember they only have to prove it was issued, not that you received it.I work in Council Tax recovery, any views are purely my own based on the information supplied.0 -

Lucky you, I used to work at Wandsworth in 2006, most properties were a band H though which by most other councils rates were equivalent to a band D, I.e. they both worked out approx £1200 per annum. The area I work for charges about £3300 for a band H!I work in Council Tax recovery, any views are purely my own based on the information supplied.0 -
