Aldi frozen chicken comes from either Hungary or Poland/Lithuania!

There is no country of origin on the packaging, so I emailed Aldi to get to find out where it comes from. The reply is below:

Further to your email regarding country of origin of our chicken breast fillets, we currently sell 2 lines:

E/E Chicken Breast Fillets 1kg – from Hungary

Chicken Breast Fillets 700g – Poland/Lithuania

I hope this answers your enquiry

I have emailed back to request that this information goes on the packaging. I think that all food should be properly labelled in all supermarkets.

I asked farmoods the same question. Here is their reply:

    Thank you for your email.

Our Farmfoods Chicken Breast Fillets are sourced from Poland and Denmark.

    I hope that helps

    Kind regards
