Options
I just phone ford to book a service, they siad it was £144, i then asked if they had any offers if i had a MOT and they said becaused you asked, it costs £119 for both, and if that wasnt good enough they are also give me £40 M7S vouchers. I phoned essex ford, and it is the Basildon branch. Also they are giving me £40 M&S vouchers.

I got sent a code for 2,500 necta points for a Ford service . Don't know where I stand though as my car is booked in for the 7th March but I already paid for the service in advance . (paid for the first two services when I brought it, last year.)
Never pay more than you have too
  • Does anyone actually trust a Ford dealer to service your car?? I had a service and a day later I had a problem with my brakes. The response was 'we dont check breaks on a 40k service. Utter rubbish i feel

I've booked one of these 'cheapo' services for a 3+ year old ford at a Ford dealer before.

Took the car in to find the worksheet said 'NOT TO FORD SPECIFICATION' on it. I asked what this meant and was told it meant exactly what it said. They do not use Ford approved parts and the service is not in line with Ford Specification.

I refused to hand over the car. I take a Ford car to a Ford dealer to have it fitted with Ford parts and serviced in line with the Ford specification. Any back street garage will do what they are charging £99+ for, yet will probably charge half the price!

Have you got a local Car Clinic?

I used them to service my old Saab, compared to the Saab dealer I saved almost £100!
  • i bought a new car with 3 years warrenty but the catch is you have to get it serviced once a year at a ford approved garage/dealer or the warrenty is invalid

so i will feel safer just taking it to ford

Dont think this is true anymore. LOOK HERE

Also Ford garages tend to charge loads of money and not do much to the car. My new car allegedly needed new brakes after 1 year and about 10000 miles of driving. Bit niave then and just paid up.
