An admin role won't expect you to be suited and booted so to speak unless it is 20k pay bracket type role.

I went for a truck driving job and the first thing the interviewer said was that it was a good job I'd come in a shirt and tie because he was turning away people who turned up in jeans and t-shirts.

Didn't see this till now. You could have just washed it iand if not tumble dryer roll the shirt in a clean towel and stand on it, hang it up in a warm room and when 90% dry you could have ironed it

    What happened? Did you go?

Washed, tumble dry and iron in 45min?? I'm good but I'm not that good ;)

I was flustered when I got there due to not being sure how long it would take to get there, was 30min early but explained why.

The receptionist didn't even offer a drink, they were running late and after climbing to the 3rd floor as the lift was broken I forgot everything I wanted to say by that time :(

Hand wash takes two minutes. Squeeze it, towel dry it and immediately iron it dry. It'll be like steam ironing it. Whole job takes 15 minutes.

I'm not surprised, jeans for an interview:eek:

The OP was still dressing smartly, just with a dress top instead of a blouse.
Life is short, smile while you still have teeth :D
