Hi I split up with my husband nearly 3 yrs ago he stayed in the house with our 2 children we have a joint mortgage with joint loans attatched, he was very ill and has been on dla he never sends any info on the state of our mortgage I just want out of the whole situation is there anyway I can do this without selling the house.

    As this is the home of your children. Then their welfare comes first.

    Suggest you consult a solicitor and negotiate to a financial arrangement. More than likely the situation will remain as is until the children have left full time education.

    Cannot afford to do that have been citezen advise but they say the same I am only part time worker just recently had major operation dont claim of goverment as its not worth the hassel so what can I do .

    You have limited options and most of them will involve you and your ex sitting down to try to come to an arrangement between yourselves.

    Start there and see what you can arrange as will be quicker and much, much cheaper...
