Would you do little sexual favours to help get out of debt?

I would!
I did actually look over some escort agency websites recently to see if it was something I could realistically do.
But, I am not into drugs etc and I think the whole scene involves a certain amount of letting yourself go.
I would want it to be classy, clean, secure and empowering for me, you know, Pretty Woman style - but I don't think that opportunity exists in real life.
Plus I would want it to be a secret and then would feel bad about OH.Proud to be dealing with my debts! :T0 -
Funni innit how there's a lot of interest in going with an Arab for a few £k in a Mayfair hotel but a quickie round the back of Sainsburys for a fiver is disgusting and morally wrong0

Reminds me of a famous Winston Churchill quote (dunno who with or whether it was true) goes like this:
WC: Would you sleep with me for £1,000,000
Lady: Sure
WC: Would you sleep with me for £10?
Lady: Certainly not, what do you think I am?
WC: We've already established what you are, we're just negotiating the price!
I’m a newbie on the site although I’ve been perusing the threads for a while and will get round to posting my statement of affairs. I didn’t really expect to see a thread like this on the Money Saving Expert site but feel compelled to have my say.
Mick, were you trying to prove to yourself that basically all women are prostitutes? You seemed very happy with the replies from women saying that they would do little favours for money.
I’ve got no objections to women working in the sex industry if it’s their decision and not subject to any pressure. Unfortunately, a lot of women or should I say girls, go into the industry because it’s the only option they’ve got to earn decent money and it may not be overt pressure but it’s certainly nothing for a civilisation to be proud of.
I may not be very good at handling my financial affairs but my professional qualifications and the work I do make me wonder about your motivations.
Have you really got a girlfriend?
Mick, imagine a different scenario to the Churchill one:
You meet Elton John and he fancies you like mad, he offers you a £1million to spend the night with him, he wants to have sex with you. Just think, all your money problems over by spending one night doing something you find repulsive.
What would you say?
What would you say if he offered you £50
What does that make you?0 -

Not disgusting or morally wrong in my book. Everyone is different and we all make our own choices.

Debbie, firstly if you're offended, shocked or disgusted, sorry, that wasn't the intention.
Neither was I trying to prove anything or be sexist.
I personally do object to sex slavery or forcing a woman to do anything she doesn't want to
I'm not sure what you professional qualifications have to do with the debate. Neither do I have any motivations. I must add that my post wasn't necessarily aimed at women either.
Yes I do really have a girlfriend and she regularly looks at this site. As I said, it was a conversation with her that sparked off the original thought.
The Churchill example was meerly a bit of light hearted humour.
As far as the EJ argument goes:
1. I really don't know what I'd say, it's a lot of dosh.
2. I think it's different. Sex with a man isn't something that floats my boat....I bat for the other team
3. It would make me a mercenary I guess
No offence meant at all.0 -
In answer to the original question......... depends on whether the OH is prepared to pay....
Failing that I'm waiting for 5p listings on ebay (although free P & P today would have saved a fortune)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I dont think it`s morally wrong or disgusting just a poor financial arrangement. For me if I was to do it it would have to be more than a fiver for a quick knee trembler round the back of Sainsburys.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
No I would not, as my self respect is more important to me.
If that was an option I wouldn't be in debt now, but no amount of money could give me back my high opinion of myself and that is more important to me.
