Just seen posters for RBS which state they will give you £100 for opening an account with them.
You have to keeo the account open for 6 weeks, Have direct debits from it and have £500 a month going in.
Please check terms and conditions before proceedings as I've only had a quick chat with customer services

Halifax are offering the same as per Martin's email with interest on credit balances.
I am considering leaving RBS to join Halifax to get the £100 offer and interest. However, I am waiting a few weeks as I am in the middle of reclaiming my bank charges from RBS
