  • Hi there, that sounds great. Do you know if they work on the DS?

Yes, they do work on DS
One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.
  • Most if not all GBA games work on the DS.

The kids have tried ant bully and fifa on their DS and they work, havent tried shrek yet as its still in the post.
  • I picked up 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany for £3.98 and Max Payne for £4.98 at Newcastle Game today. Looks like they could be available instore for the same prices if they haven't run out of stock. Saves time waiting for the postman to deliver. I also noticed that they have started putting seals on the games which have to be intact for you to return them for a refund under their 28 day returns policy. About time too if you ask me, it's always annoying to have used/returned games sold as new, especially on GBA games where you can get other peoples saved games left on the cartridge. I guess enough people got fed up with it to make them change their policy. It would have been quicker if the seals were already on and the sales assistant didn't have to put them on after getting new games out of the drawer, but if its a new policy, maybe they haven't had time yet and will get round to it later.

  • It would save much time to have everything pre-sealed. But a few copies of every game need to be "gutted", so that theres a box or two available on the shop floor. The seals are terribly annoying to get off the reel.

That sounds like a terrible development: the great thing about GAME was that you could always return a game, especially if you'd tried it and didn't like it.

It's not that much fuss to remove a saved game, is it?

I wonder how well this new policy sits with standard consumer rights?
I remember when you could smoke on the bus
  • Its perfectly legal. Its like taking the tags off clothes and wearing them. You can't take them back after one party if you decide you don't like them. You legally have around 28 days (or there abouts) to return an item... if its in its original condition. Removing seals and playing with it means that its no longer in its original condition.
