May I ask for tips on how you maintain these thin cotton bags? I've got a couple of really heavyweight cotton bags from the US, and they wash well.

However, I find with the thinner type sold in most places, including the Body Shop, the moment I put them in the wash, they come out looking very sorry for themselves, the handles bundle up into "strings", and even after ironing, look like sad shadows of their former selves. Am I doing something wrong here?

Hello, Cath Kidston has just brought out some cute shopping bags, much cheaper than her usual bags. They are available on her website and instore too I should imagine, but you can also buy them from Asos for free p&p.

This red and blue spot one is just £5.

This comes in two designs, Red Rose or Chicken Feed and is just £6.

  • Got mine through today (Red Rose design) but will be returning it. I expected it to be lightweight cotton but it is quite poor quality in terms of fabric and stitching, the print is also too bright for me.
I have another heavy weight cotton CK shopper which didn't cost that much more which is so much nicer...
Thanks all the same OP :)

I look at these, I see £6  and I wonder if the world has truly gone barmy. And that was before I saw all the negative feedback.
  • I just ordered one for my daughter, she will be so happy, can't normally afford Cath-kidston. Thank you.(doesn't matter if it is flimsy, I will still be a super-mum)

Got 2 of the red / blue spot bags, very poor quality of cotton, but will keep as would end up paying as much money to return them for postage and have nothing, I am using i to put odd socks in, replacing a plastic n#xt bag! Ah well!
