Printer Won't Pick Up Paper

I’ve a Dell 1600n multifunctional laser printer. When I attempt to print from it I get the message ‘Paper Jam 01 open/close door.’ The printer just won’t pick up the paper and there is sufficient paper in the try. I can print one sheet at a time from the manual feed.


I’ve opened and closed the door on a number of occasions, removed the paper tray and put it back in again but all to no avail, any ideas as to what might be happening here?



Any suggested fixes?
