I recently bought one of those little mini fridges, you know the ones, where you can store cold drinks in them to save you going to the kitchen in the middle of the night - on a hot summers night! Well the guy on the stall said that you were not meant to keep them plugged in for more than 5 hours, and that it would be an idea to use ice bags in them. Though it was boxed up and unopened, but had possibly been re-sealed, there were no instructions with it, I later realised. The model is a Pro-line FR15, retro cooler, a silver one. It had no lead with it and I see that it is the same sort of lead that you have for a radio cassette player. You can't use batteries for it. Does anybody have one, or know if it is safe to keep it plugged in more than 5 hours. Apparently it can also be used as a food warmer at the flick of a switch on the back. Thanks.

Isn't it an RF15U silver drinks cooler, comet used to sell them but don't know if they still do ,might be worth checking and asking the salesperson..............they'll then check the instructions for you0

If memory serves me right proline is Comets own brand (or the group not just comet).
I thought that they could be plugged in for as long as you want these mini-coolers they just run off a small 12v power supply in most cases (or from lighter socket in car)
I would guess that maybe you have been sold a faulty one so the seller was covering his backside and removed the power supply and instructions?0
