Why I'm Leaving Goldman Sachs

I thought that, particularly a few DHP&E regulars, as others of course, would like to see this article in the New York Times today:

TODAY is my last day at Goldman Sachs. After almost 12 years at the firm — first as a summer intern while at Stanford, then in New York for 10 years, and now in London — I believe I have worked here long enough to understand the trajectory of its culture, its people and its identity. And I can honestly say that the environment now is as toxic and destructive as I have ever seen it.....

  • Listen to the Keiser Report on Russia Today RTV and you will hear so many tales of customer exploitation it will cause you to hate those upper class toffs who do not give a flying !!!! for the Customers; and yet get massive Business income depleting bonuses.

    Probably because his boss told him to.

    Then his boss told him to resign.

    Then they will start employing the people who are going to take the blame when everything goes t*ts up.

    I wonder if he waited to collect his multi million dollar bonus before marching up to the moral high ground and jacking his job in?;)

    Don't think class comes into it. Most of these guys are just very clever and very motivated by money. Goldman Sachs does not take on slow witted thickos.
