Local pharmacy assistant interview help

Hi just wondering if anyone can help me out with types of questions I may get asked. There's a very small, local, independent pharmacy opening and I have an interview for a pharmacy assistant position today in 2 hours.

They're aware I have no experience, but it said preferred not necessary. I think it might be a one on one interview with the owner and his wife possibly, in a property near the pharmacy site (it's not finished being renovated yet and my boyfriend is waiting outside for me as he was initially a little concerned with it being in a home) there was very little information on the job advert just said routine tasks assisting in the running of the pharmacy so assuming stocking shelves, serving and advising customers etc.

Just last minute nerves I guess as it does sound informal, but I'd really like to be given a chance! Just hate this waiting bit before and the stomach doing somersaults!:rotfl:

Cash handling, understanding stock rotation, talking to customers, usual retail skills will apply. You won't have to know anything technical about pharmacoogy ;-)

    Good luck!!!

I would get your boyf to keep a low profile - most places I've worked like to see people taking responsibility for themselves, rather than having mum/dad/boyf in tow. I interviewed a girl last year who brought her boyfriend to the interview - she drove him in her car, and she kept talking about how she was getting married later on in the year... most companies don't give a toss about your private life, only about your ability to do the job, and telling me all about her wedding and her boyfriend was tedious and irrelevant. She didn't get the job...

Well most bizarre interview of my life to be honest, went to the address they gave and an elderly woman answered, no idea who I was, double checked all the details I got yesterday and was at the right place poor woman didn't have a clue. Didn't even have a contact number for the owner. Drove to the derelict shop that they're turning into the pharmacy and caught the owner outside luckily, could have easily missed the interview if I hadn't drove to the shop after to double check as well. Was in for 5 minutes asked about my degree and if I drove and that was it basically, I had to tell the owne about the address he'd gave me, he's been using the wrong street number so other people will be going to the old ladies house too.

I didn't want my boyfriend there at all, I never do that as I think it gives the total wrong impression as well, but the fact it was in a seemingly empty house on a quiet estate didn't seem right to me or my family and didn't want to put myself in a dangerous situation rather safe than sorry in this instance, as it's all to easy to look back in hindsight if something wasn't right. I know what you mean though, my friend takes her father to every interview she has, she's never gotten any of those jobs either.

I know what you mean, it was very concerning to be honest just the whole thing, the 5 minute interview in a derelict building after the wrong address, don't think I'll be leaving my current part time job for this, just seemed rushed and I didn't feel comfortable at all. Back to the drawing board!
