sick note/fit note

a few questions

if you have a sick note ( now known as a fit note) and the end date is the 15th march? is that the last day of sick or the first day back at work?

the employer are saying the hubby should be back at work on the 15th, hubby says it is the 16th

also the employer is accusing hubby has changed the date from the 11th to the 15th which was the Dr putting the wrong date on, the Dr just scribbled over the date!!

but if the employer thought that then why didn't they phone up the other day asking where hubby was?

the employer are now saying that hubby won't get paid sick pay between the 11th and 15th march?

also if any ongoing physio appointments fall on a working day, is the employee allowed time off work to still attend these?

hubby is going to talk to his union rep this afternoon but was just looking for advice on here in the meantime.

thanks Jo

the employer are saying the hubby should be back at work on the 15th, hubby says it is the 16thHubby is right

also the employer is accusing hubby has changed the date from the 11th to the 15th which was the Dr putting the wrong date on, the Dr just scribbled over the date!! Get the dr to confirm in writing that they changed the date, the employer is quite within their rights to question anything that looks dodgy

but if the employer thought that then why didn't they phone up the other day asking where hubby was?

the employer are now saying that hubby won't get paid sick pay between the 11th and 15th march? He will when he proves that it wasn't him

also if any ongoing physio appointments fall on a working day, is the employee allowed time off work to still attend these? If its a disability then maybe but without knowing information then the answer is probably no and he would need to book time of as normal

hubby is going to talk to his union rep this afternoon but was just looking for advice on here in the meantime.

    thanks Jo

    Hope that helps
