Are they relevant to the jobs you're applying for?
DH is a FIAP (I think) and also has a BSc and an MAppTh. The first would be relevant if he was applying for jobs in his old profession of computing. The middle one is now unlikely to be relevant to anyone for anything. The content of the Masters might be relevant to the kind of job he might apply for now, but the fact that he's got a postgrad degree is really neither here nor there.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
There you go, this tells you what order to put them in :-)

My personal feelings: only mention when relevant to the role or will genuinely impress - a whole collection of random ones looks silly, and they need to be serious ones that won't raise an eyebrow.
AIH - Associate of the Institute of Hospitality - use if applying in hospitality or related field
CMgr - Chartered Manager - doesn't this mean the same as below?
MCMI - Member of the Chartered Mangement Institute - pick one or the other, not both
BSc (Hons) - Bachelor of Science - it's tacky to put this after your name. They'll know about your degree from your CV/application form.
MStJ - Member of St. John Medal - I had to google this. I did sort of guess what it was then thought, no it can't be that, so looked it up. It was. I'm sure you are rightly proud of this but unless you are applying to something relevant to first aid people might find it a bit funny to put on your CV, especially as letters after your name. No offence but I don't think people outside the organisation would view it in quite the same way that you do. Something to mention in the 'other activities/hobbies' bit of your CV really.
MEPS - Member of the Emergency Planning Society - as the MStJ - I would maybe mention in other info but not put the letters after my name.
I think it's best to pick at most two for each application - the ones that are most relevant and have genuine professional relevance.
You have to be careful with these things - they can come across as a bit comical when people start listing all sorts of irrelevant things. I won't be at all surprised one day to get an application that includes FMSC after someone's name (fifty metres swimming certificate). Found this http://www.ispn.org.uk/Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -

For example CEng can be conferred by membership of the IET, the IMechE or the ICE and others. So not just CEng, but also MIET or whatever.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
