They don't usually announce them until the day before.

I tend to see someone post about it on here before I get anything from ebay thiough so I've set up an alert here:

Just subscribe to the thread and as soon as anyone sees a FLW they can add the dates to the thread and everyone subscribed will get the usual MSE email saying there are responses to the thread.

If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    My way is Atkins;)
  • As a personally seller, all of my listings are free...
As long as you only have 1 photo, no buy it now, no reserve etc, I don't pay anything.

You are limited though to a start price of 99p and risk goods selling at that. For better items it is worth waiting for a free Lang weekend where you can use a higher start price.

All private sellers get the first 100 99 p listings per month free.

I stopped using E-Bay after some bad experiences selling on there, but if its free listings weekend I might just give it another shot.

    Thanks for this

  • Ah I see! I never put anything on there worth much so I always wondered why it was always free!
  • yes I think that it was the introduction of the 50 free listings that saved ebay as many people were going to the alt sites, and have now found that 50 free listings suits them quite well, as they only pay if the item sells.

Its actually 100 listings not 50, so even better.

Also this only applies to private sellers not busineses, and there aren't any real alternative sites for people to have gone to.
