Thankyou everyone for all your advice!!

Think I will just stick to this site for now - I reckon I just haven't been using it properly!
Treacle - is there a way you can easily find all the competitions that end today? or do you have to filter through them all.....?Also, vanpopple says you have some good links - I'd be really grateful if I could see them!

Thanks again all and good luck :-)

If you scroll to the bottom of the page and where it says "sorted by", change it to thread title. Then the last page will start from the first of the month etc.

So you can simply find the page with the comps ending 14/03. hope that makes sense? :)

How I enter competitions by end date on MSE

Bring up/go in the main competition time board

Across the top you will see Title, newest thread etc..

Click the little see through sort arrow next to title

It will then put them all in date order starting with 31/12

So you'll need to scroll through to the start of the date range you are after.

See if this works for the ones ending tomorrow - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72&pp=20&sort=title&order=desc&daysprune=-1&page=190

this is where i am currently working from this evening - about page 190 if you do the steps above

You are more than welcome - everyone has to start sometime and we've all been the newbie

I didn't know where to look or what to do when I started either.

I hope you have a winning wednesday tomorrow :-)

hi treacle, am looking for some users of the thread to help post some of the mags,
they are as you say pretty easy to enter & do but the cost of the mags to buy & sometimes the time it takes to be doing all the puzzles are getting quite high,
would you be interested in helping out as you recommend the thread to a lot :)

No probs - just let me know which mags and the issue number you want me to start with
Also if it's ok for me to copy and paste someones format with the useful bits for puzzler
I'm rubbish at crosswords - but fine with anything else

Hiya Katie, tbh I only use MSE. I find it difficult to keep up with the ones here as there are so many and with about 15 new pages each day (300 comps)
you'd be hard pushed to find any that aren't posted here.

Welcome to MSE and good luck :)

I always start my day off with Treacle's dailies on FB.

Then I have my own dailies bookmarked from here.

Then I usually will try and do FB during the day and then MSE in the evening for new comps posted that day and also ones ending the next day.

I think you will find more than enough on here and by sticking to MSE you avoid duplicating entries which would be a real waste with all the time and effort devoted.

Good luck with your comping. :)

I'll check tomorrow to see if my local little co-op does these ones:

    Chat Arrowords
    Chat Wordsearch
    Chat Crosswords
    Chat Puzzles Select

Are the the same puzzle i'ds in all 4? As in just need 1 copy of 1 of them a month

or will these be 4 mags i'm buying a month

I'm quite happy to do a few

What issue do you want me to start from?
