Yep - this sounds like a cashflow issue - I'd start looking for another job.0

I have been working for my employer for a little over a year and he has announced that a solicitor has instructed him to make us all work a month in hand as we apparently didn't when we first started our employment.
He says we will have to wait until April 27th for our next payment, which is approximately 7 weeks without pay.
Is this legal, please can someone advise me?
Thanks
Ok question
When is pay date normally?
How much notice have they given you?
How was it given?0 -

Err . . . .actually i'm neither, i'm a woman (from birth lol)
Thanks for all the replies, I was told by another fellow employee who along with everyone but myself, received a letter about this change.
I didn't think it was legal but as there aren't many available jobs in construction, i'm stuck with it.
Not going to just bend over and take it though, i'm off to make an appt for some legal advice.
