I have found a site which looks like it's aim is to be a viable alternative to university. Although sure, you can't put a price on education. It is a life long investment. Still young people are looking for alternatives. Self-employment of which is one, and there are great opportunities with the job centre, and incentives for self employment. Also many people find education difficult, so. Let me know what you think of this idea. The first course looks interesting, the idea of setting up locally as a computer repair person. Although i worry is there a market for it.

I suspect though, obviously you don't need to become self employed. You could do this alongside, education/part time work etc..
