Firmus costs

Ok I'm really worried now. Just got my Firmus bill in and it would seem I've been paying £100/month too little in direct debits to cover the bill. The total bill for the last quarter is over £400. I was paying £46/month but after those 3 credits, I still owe them £330.
I have a thermostat controller which I've programmed as best I can so the house is comfortable most of the time but at this rate I'll have to turn the heating off.
Can anyone else shed some light on how many units they use or how much their bill was for the same period. Should I be worried given that coming into the warmer months the heating will barely be on so maybe (wishful thinking) the DDs will balance out over the year?

With any luck it will balance out over the year but if you feel uncomfortable, ask them to up the DD a little bit to reduce the likelihood of a large defecit.0

I wouldnt panic to much, most of our gas was used over the winter months and very little during the summer, mite be worth upping the DD by a tenner just to make sure its all covered.0

Settled myself a bit by finding an old bill. The bill is 100% accurate in regards units etc. I've moved the thermostat out of the hall (where ex had put it) and brought each of the programme temps down by a degree or two.
When I think about it, a tank of oil was over £500 and 'we' were going through 2 or 3 tanks over winter so to only have to pay £300 extra over the winter months I guess isn't too bad.
Will phone Firmus tomorrow and up the DD. Not sure if the excess is being taken by DD as an extra payment of if they normal DDs are used towards it. I have never had to deal with bills before so it's been a steep learning curve the last few months!
Thanks for the replies. Feel calmer and more zen now0
